New Delhi: Bengaluru-headquartered Indian cybersecurity and cyberwarfare firm Globals showcased its flagship Maritime Cyber Situational Awareness Platform, MarCAP, at a high-level seminar on “Impact of Cyber Attacks on Maritime Sector and its Effects on National Security and International Relations” held in New Delhi on October 16.

The event was organised by the Directorate of Information Warfare (DIW) of the Indian Navy and brought together senior government officials, policymakers, and cybersecurity experts.

The seminar, hosted at Sushma Swaraj Bhavan, witnessed the participation of key dignitaries, including Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology Jitin Prasada, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, Vice Chief of the Naval Staff Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan, and senior representatives from CERT-In, NCIIPC, Ministry of Defence, and Ministry of Shipping.

During the event, Globals unveiled MarCAP, an indigenous “SOC-in-the-Box” platform purpose-built for naval and maritime ecosystems. It is designed to enhance cyber situational awareness, threat intelligence integration, and network visibility.

MarCAP safeguards critical shipboard systems, including Bridge, SATCOM, CMS, IPMS, propulsion, and combat systems, even in air-gapped or degraded communication environments, the company said in a statement on October 17, 2025.

According to the Marlink Global Maritime Cyber Threat Report, maritime cyber incidents have surged by 67%, with attackers increasingly targeting satellite and operational technology networks aboard vessels.

This escalating threat underscores the need for dedicated maritime SOC solutions like MarCAP to protect national assets and maritime infrastructure, the company said.

Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi highlighted that as the seas evolve into “data oceans” powered by smart ports and AI-driven logistics, every vessel and port terminal has effectively become a “floating computer network.”

He emphasised the Navy’s focus on cyber resilience and readiness to navigate a digitally connected maritime environment.

Globals Vice President Samarth Shyamanur said, “MarCAP reflects India’s growing capability to develop indigenous, AI-driven, and air-gapped cyber defence platforms. We thank the Indian Navy for spearheading this vital conversation on maritime cybersecurity.”

Globals, empanelled by CERT-In and recognized by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), specializes in Cyberwarfare Systems, AI-powered SOCs, and Zero Trust Network Solutions. Through innovation and collaboration, Globals aims to strengthen Indiaโ€™s cyber sovereignty and maritime security in the digital age.
