Bengaluru (Karnataka): French aircraft maker Dassault Aviation and Indian aerospace manufacturer Hical Technologies on March 9, 2026, announced the signing of a long-term contract to manufacture and supply high-precision control system assemblies for the Rafale fighter aircraft, an advanced omnirole combat platform.

The Bengaluru-based Indian company for high-precision electromechanical systems would deliver mission-critical products to meet Dassault Aviation’s stringent engineering, qualification, and reliability standards, under the agreement, the two companies said.

“The contract marks a significant step in Indiaโ€™s integration into global aerospace supply chains beyond final assembly and into precision, high-value engineering,” their statement said.

โ€œHical Technologies has demonstrated a strong commitment to quality and reliability, values that strongly align with Dassault Aviation’s heritage of excellence,โ€ Dassault Aviation senior executive vice president for procurement and purchase, Burno Coiffier, said on the occasion.

“This milestone is a testament to the years of engineering investment, precision manufacturing discipline, and quality culture that our teams at Hical have built,” Hical Technologies managing director Yashas Jaiveer said.

“Being entrusted with critical products for the Rafale, one of the most sophisticated fighter aircraft in the world, is a recognition that Indian aerospace manufacturing has arrived on the global stage,” Jaiveer said.

“We are proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Dassault Aviation and contribute to a platform that symbolises excellence in defence technology,” he added.

The agreement further strengthens the India-France aerospace partnership and aligns with India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) vision by advancing indigenous capability in high-precision aerospace systems manufacturing.

Hical’s inclusion in the Rafale programme positions India as a strategic contributor to one of the world’s most operationally active fighter aircraft platforms, reinforcing the country’s role in the global aerospace and defence value chain, the statement added.
